Japan Day 12

Day 12 of #rjapantravelog. 

From Tokyo, I went to Takayama. It took around 5-hour train ride to get there. This is the view from moving train. The weather outside was gloomy unfortunately.

Japan Day 10

 Day 10 of #rjapantravelog.

@dianamelina invited us to Yokohama. The suburban town has this beautiful public park with gorgeous colorful flowers.

Beautiful flowers are beautiful, even when the sun is not shining.

The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is a historical building that is used as a complex that includes a shopping mall, banquet hall, and event venues.

In the afternoon, we went to see view Tokyo Tower from afar. Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation tower, the second-tallest structure in Japan.

The structure is an Eiffel Tower-inspired lattice tower that is painted white and international orange to comply with air safety regulations.

Every 5 years the tower is repainted in a process that takes about 12 months.

After seeing this tower, we went to Fujiko F. Fujio museum. 

Japan Day 9

 Day 9 of #rjapantravelog. 

We rented a house in Tokyo via AirBnB. I think it's very spacious, with a living room, 2 bed rooms (typical of what I usually see in anime! :p), 1 small toilet, a bath room, and a dining room/kitchen. Thankful that we stayed in a house instead of in a hotel, so we could feel "the real life" of Japanese citizen.

On that day, I was pretty sick, so practically I went nowhere. My condition in the past few days of the trip was a disaster, and I got hospitalized right after coming back to Indonesia. .

Japan Day 8

Day 8 of #rjapantravelog.

When taking picture of rotating globe, I always try to get a snapshot of this side of the earth.

Mount Prometheus- giant volcano that is the park's centerpiece and most prominent feature.

I think it's a unique feature of this theme park, since the structure is noticeably huge.

Japan Day 7

 Day 7 of #rjapantravelog.

We went to Toyota Automotive Museum in Nagoya. We initially wanted to go to Hitachi Seaside Park but the weather didn't permit.

Apparently a similar museum is also located in USA. However, the museum in Nagoya also features many cars from other manufacturers such as Alfa Romeo and DeLorean Motor Company (and Bemo!), as well as artwork. .
I like seeing cars, but I guess cars enthusiast would appreciate this museum much more than me. For a regular visitor like me, I prefer Museum Angkut @ Batu :p

Japan Day 6

 Day 6 of #rjapantravelog

we went to 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art (which photo I posted few days ago) and Kanazawa Castle.

The castle's distinctive, whitish roof tiles are made of lead. The reason for that is not only that they are fireproof, but legend says that also that in times of siege, the tiles could be melted down and cast into bullets. /wiki

Japan Day 5

Day 5 of #rjapantravelog.

From Osaka (yes Osaka, not Kobe), we went 300 kms north to Kanazawa. Unfortunately, the sky was still gloomy.

Now I remember the main reason why we went to Kanazawa was to try the brand new route of Shinkansen #soimportant. Our friend @dianamelina suggested that we should try it :p

Thankfully, wiki said in Kanazawa,
there's a park named Kenroku-en, which is one of the three great gardens in Japan. At least there was an object to visit xD.

Kenroku-en (兼六園, Six Attributes Garden), located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan, is an old private garden.

The garden is located outside the gates of Kanazawa Castle where it originally formed the outer garden, and covers 114,436.65 m² /wiki

Crossing the bridge

Statue of Yamato Takeru -originally Prince Ōsu-, was a Japanese legendary prince of the Yamato dynasty, son of Emperor Keikō, who is traditionally counted as the 12th Emperor of Japan.

Kotoji-tōrō, a stone lantern with two legs, said to resemble the bridge on a koto. This lantern is emblematic of Kenrokuen and Kanazawa.
